Before my psychology career, or raising my boys to men, I had a wonderful opportunity to work and travel in the travel industry. I absolutely love the adventure of travel. The unknown, the new experiences, it grows us and offers us something profound, deep within our soul.
As a seasoned individual and relationship Counselor and Coach, its my pleasure to guide a growth process on the retreat or retreats of your choice. As a history, psychology, political science and economics buff, my Social Science degree makes perfect sense for my interest in human nature. These combined interests fit together because they all speak to us about ourselves. How humans act, interact, and think individually and collectively, has always been fascinating to me. I have spent nearly 36 years in the Employee Benefits world, using my knowledge and skills assisting and coaching Employee Benefits agents and company representatives to achieve goals, and best assist their clients, as well as selling Employee Benefits directly to my clients.
Today, as a business owner and entrepreneur, I am able to actively incorporate my passions about human behavior and motivations into Coaching. Today, my wife, Alicia and I are working together to help you achieve the life and marriage you desire.
“Watch a man at play for an hour and you can learn more about him than in talking to him for a year.” ~Plato
My passion for learning new things, combined with an eagerness to grow and share my yoga knowledge with others, brings me to this fabulous yoga retreat at Xinalani. I am purposeful about helping my students find space in both mind and body, and consequently, in their daily lives. Having trained in both Costa Rica and India, my emphasis focuses on the traditional aspects of practicing yoga. Within that traditional framework, I am mindful to provide a comfortable and non-intimidating environment. As an acoustic guitar player, my music is infused into my yoga teaching; I’m known for closing a class with the power of music. A perpetual learner at heart, I love sharing my love of yoga through my teaching.
The true practice of yoga isn’t only to bring balance to the physical body, but also to help find peace and Balance on a mental, emotional and spiritual level as well. In teaching, I love to challenge, yet I’m authentic, compassionate and caring. That’s my style. Whether it is in a powerful” vinyasa class, yin yoga, ashtanga, partner yoga, or meditation, I aim for my students to leave with a little less weight on their shoulders and a clearer mind.
This retreat has been forming for about a year, as some of you might recall. So excited to see it come together. Xinalani Retreat is an awesome environment to reset and rebalance our priorities, and to challenge ourselves into becoming stronger for us and those around us.
